There are 4 basic, and very common safety rules which you should become familiar with.

  1. Treat all guns as if they are loaded.
  2. Never point a gun at anything you are not willing to shoot.
  3. Keep your finger off the trigger until you are on target and have decided to fire.
  4. Always be aware of your target and what is directly behind it.

Shooting Safety

For your own personal safety when at any shooting ground or range you should be wearing ear and eye protection at all times, even when you are not shooting there is a chance that someone will begin shooting without warning. Firearms and shotguns especially in confined spaces such as indoor ranges can permanently damage your earning and it only takes one accident or mistake for you to damage or your eyes or worse, so be safe and wear protection.
